Work Safety Issues Surrounding Cannabis
Sebastian Straube is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Alberta. He holds degrees in Medicine and Physiological Sciences from the University of Oxford (England) where he also did his DPhil (PhD). After clinical work and research at the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals, Dr. Straube joined the Institute of Occupational, Social and Environmental Medicine at the University Medical Center G枚ttingen, Germany. There he completed his Habilitation (German postdoctoral qualification) and his postgraduate medical training in the specialties of Occupational Medicine and Social Medicine. Dr. Straube was an Extraordinary Professor at the University of G枚ttingen until he took up his current post in the Division of Preventive Medicine of the University of Alberta's Department of Medicine in 2014. He was appointed as Division Director for Preventive Medicine in 2016. Dr. Straube鈥檚 research interest is in evidence syntheses (systematic reviews and meta-analyses). He is the director of the Foundation Course in Occupational Medicine.

Occupational Health: Basics of Ergonometric
Marc Poirier-Lavall茅e completed his听university studies as a kinesiologist (B.Sc) and ergonomy (M. Sc) at UQAM Ergonomics experience: - Ergonomist at the Reseau de Sant茅 Publique en Sant茅 au Travail (RSPSAT) since 2013 and an ergonomic coordinator since Sept. 2021 (CIUSSS Center-sud-de-卯le-de-Montr茅al). - Research assistant in ergonomics for the CHU Ste-Justine; - Ergonomics internships: food sector and school environment for kids with special needs. Experience as a kinesiologist: - Kinesiologist for Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) training school; - Kinesiologist for Nautilus Plus and as a self employ Military (reservist) in several specialties since 2002.
