B. BRIEF SUMMARY OF ADVISORY PROCESS STAGES
COMMITTEE MANDATE
The Advisory Committee’s mandate is to identify and consider qualified individuals for the position of Dean of Students. At the end of its deliberations, the Advisory Committee will make a recommendation to the Chair, who will transmit it to the President for consideration. The President is responsible for bringing the candidate recommendation to the Board for approval.
The Advisory Committee is responsible for defining the set of competencies for the position of Dean of Students, consistent with future leadership needs and the evolving environment of higher education, within Quebec, Canada, and internationally.
REQUEST FOR COMMENTS
The Committee is seeking input from the 91ÉçÇø community to inform its work and ensure that it identifies candidates best suited to lead the Dean of Students portfolio in the years ahead. Members of the community are invited to share their perspectives on the opportunities, challenges, and priorities for the next Dean over the next 5–10 years, as well as the qualifications, leadership skills, experience, and attributes that candidates should possess.

NOMINATIONS, EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST AND APPLICATIONS
Applications should include a statement of interest in the position, a curriculum vitae, and the names of at least three referees. Consideration of candidates will begin in April 2025 and the process will continue until the position is filled. The initial appointment is for a five-year, renewable term, to start in June 2025, or as mutually agreed.
