Professors (Earth and Planetary Sciences) and (Physics) have been awarded 2024 Arthur B. McDonald Fellowships from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council听of Canada (NSERC).

These awards recognize early-career academic researchers, providing them with a $250,000 research grant over two years.

91社区 has received funding from the Canadian Space Agency for two separate projects dedicated to the study of exoplanets, using the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). The projects are slated for completion by June 2025. Both studies will be led by Professor Nicolas Cowan.

This week Canada announced it will contribute to the European Space Agency鈥檚 Ariel mission. A first mission of its kind, the Ariel space telescope will launch in 2029 to study the atmospheres of distant exoplanets outside of our solar system.
