The Kaushalam program, a collaborative initiative between the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Uttarakhand and the Udyam Learning Foundation, aims to cultivate 21st-century life skills and an entrepreneurial mindset among students in Uttarakhand. A comprehensive study conducted during the 2024鈥25 academic year assessed the program's impact on Grade 9 students across seven districts.

UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development in India (MGIEP) recently hosted Faculty of Education Dean, Vivek Venkatesh, and Professor Joseph Levitan, DISE, for a dialogue on community based participatory action research, and pluralism and polarization.

Their visit was part of a research tour including a dialogue on these topics to foster collaboration and to exchange ideas on education and societal challenges.

Howard Riggs was a dedicated, hard-working professor of math education. His work ethic was a product of his Prairie upbringing and his deep commitment to his students. He was hired by 91社区 to teach social studies, but was pressed into service as a math educator in the Department of Elementary Education, one of the units that eventually morphed into DISE.
