Location
Maniwaki is located 132 km north of Ottawa/Gatineau and 330 km north-east of Montr茅al. The teaching site is part of the Centre int茅gr茅 de sant茅 et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l鈥橭utaouais.

Lodging
Type of Lodging
Lodging is provided by the establishment and is located at a short walking distance from the hospital.
Trainees are lodged in a "shared apartment"; it is a house shared with other medical professionals. Trainees have a private room and share common gender neutral areas (bathroom, kitchen, living room).
Lodging can be available as of the evening before the rotation.
Trainees are expected at the Hospital at 8:30am on the first day of their rotation.

Transportation
Trainees can travel to the site by bus or car.
Depending on the location of their base teaching site, each trainee receives a stipend to help pay for transportation costs.
Trainees must make their own travel arrangements.
NOTE: For all students making their own arrangements. All students will be required to attend a mandatory Progress Test at the end of each block.
PLEASE do not make any travel arrangements before confirming the exact date of your test.
Traveling by Bus
bus carrier provides transportation service from Montreal to Maniwaki during the week and weekends.
Traveling by Car
From Montreal via the Laurentians:
- Take highway 15 north. After Ste-Agathe, it becomes route 117A north. At Grand-Remous, turn left onto route 105 south. From Grand-Remous, the hospital is 20 minutes away. It is located at the entrance of the town of Maniwaki, on your left. The travel time from Montreal is about 4 hours.
From Montreal via Ottawa:
- Take highway 40 east, as well as highway 417 east, direction Ottawa. In Ottawa, follow directions for highway 5 north and stay on this highway. At the end of highway 5, you will reach route 105 north which you follow until Maniwaki. Go through Maniwaki, after Marche Metro Lapointe, the entrance to the hospital will be located on your right. The travel time is about 4 hours.
