Ville-Marie is a town on Lake Temiscaming in western Quebec, in the Abitibi-T茅miscamingue area. The site is located about 650 km from downtown Montreal. The teaching site is part of the Centre int茅gr茅 de sant茅 et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l鈥橝bitibi-T茅miscamingue.

TYPE OF LODGING

Lodging is provided by the establishment, and is located 8 minutes away (walking distance) from the hospital and Co-op Sant茅.

Trainees are lodged in a shared apartment (5 1/2).Trainees have a private room and share common gender neutral areas (bathroom, kitchen, living room).

Lodging can be available as of the evening before the first day of your rotation.

Trainees are expected at the Co-op Sant茅 at 9:00am on the first day of their rotation.

Note: It is important that everyone does their share to keep all common areas clean and safe at any time.

All accommodations are non-smoking environments.

Transportation


Trainees can travel to the site by bus or car.

Depending on the location of their base teaching site, each trainee receives a stipend to help pay for transportation costs.

Trainees must make their own travel arrangements.

NOTE: For all students making their own arrangements. All students will be required to attend a mandatory Progress Test at the end of each block.

PLEASE do not make any travel arrangements before confirming the exact date of your test.


TRAVELING BY BUS

鈥 Autobus Maheux () serves Ville-Marie. Departure time at the Bus Station in Montreal is on a Sunday night (11:15pm) with arrival in Ville-Marie the next day at 10:50am.

鈥 You can also use Greyhound () to travel to North Bay (Ontario) and then transfer to Maheux from North Bay to Ville-Marie. From Montreal, departure is from the bus station, Gare d鈥檃utocar de Montr茅al, located at the Berri-UQAM m茅tro station. It leaves Montreal at 7 am. to arrive in North Bay at 3:20 pm and Maheux leaves North Bay at 4 pm and arrives in Ville-Marie at 6:40 pm
