Location
Located in the region of Abitibi-T茅miscamingue, Val-d'Or is a northern mining town about 525 km from Montreal.听 The teaching site is part of the Centre int茅gr茅 de sant茅 et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l鈥橝bitibi-T茅miscamingue which includes the Val-d'Or Hospital Centre and a groupe de m茅dicine familiale universitaire (GMF-U). The latter accommodates Family Medicine residents for their entire 2-year training.

Lodging
Type of Lodging
Lodging is provided by the establishment and is located adjacent to the hospital.
Trainees are lodged in a "Shared Apartment". Trainees have a private room and share common gender-neutral areas (bathroom, kitchen, living room).
Lodging can be available as of the evening before the first day of your rotation.
Trainees are expected at the reception of the Hospital Center at 8:30 am on the first day of rotation.

Transportation
Trainees can travel to the site by bus, car or plane.
Each trainee receives a stipend to help pay for transportation costs.
Trainees must make their own travel arrangements.
NOTE: For all students making their own arrangements. All students will be required to attend a mandatory Progress Test at the end of each block.
PLEASE do not make any travel arrangements before confirming the exact date of your test.
